Workshops

Willy has conducted numerous workshops on varied topics, such as:

Writing workshops for children, teenagers, and adults

Forums on LGBTQ parenthood

Conference workshops on intersectional identities

Discussion groups on health issues

Panel discussions on ethnic identities in behavioral health practice

Workshops on art as a tool for healing

Currently Willy is conducting interactive readings of his new book Gender Splendor: 50 Creative Sparks to Celebrate Yourself at All Ages and Stages. Attendees of all ages and identities have the opportunity to create art in response to imaginative prompts. Art media provided includes writing, visual art, and clay. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own art supplies.

Nature's Embrace

You are a natural part of human diversity. Look up at the sky and be reminded that you are part of nature. Do you feel its expansiveness? Does the sky speak to you, hold you, love you in all your beautiful heart, renegade fierceness, and shining brilliance? Check out the sunset. What colors and images do you see? Does the sky change dramatically? Nothing is fixed. No matter what is happening in your life, the natural world can remind you that your current circumstances will evolve over time. With nature as your witness, describe how you are part of nature and how nature embraces you.
