Training That Engages and Inspires

Since 1989, Willy Wilkinson has been helping professionals deepen their understanding of LGBTQ communities, health, communication, and social change. Drawing on decades of lived experience, public health expertise, and curriculum development, Willy creates interactive, non-punishing learning environments where people can ask questions, explore new ideas, problem solve, and engage in meaningful dialogue.

Whether participants are new to these topics or bring years of experience, Willy creates learning environments that keep all knowledge levels engaged without oversimplifying the discussion, creating opportunities for participants to learn from one another through thoughtful dialogue.

What participants learn

Participants develop practical skills for providing effective services and creating affirming systems. Willy helps professionals communicate more effectively with queer, transgender, and nonbinary people in real-world settings. Trainings focus on practical communication, respectful engagement, the impact of misgendering, and the skills needed to create affirming interactions across a wide range of service environments.

Audiences Served

Behavioral health, healthcare, public health, workplace settings, government agencies, higher education, K-12 education, early childhood education, social service organizations, housing and homelessness services, criminal justice, faith communities, arts organizations, and media organizations.

Why Organizations Return

Organizations return to Willy’s trainings because participants stay engaged, difficult questions are handled with skill and respect, and complex topics become accessible and relevant. By creating space for honest conversation without shame or judgment, Willy helps people think more deeply, communicate more effectively, and apply what they learn long after the training ends.
