Increasing Access through Culturally Competent Best Practices
In his three decades in the fields of public health and cultural competency, Willy has worked to increase access for populations that have been underserved and underrepresented, within an intersectional lens of race, culture, class, gender, sexuality, and disability. He works with community health organizations, educational institutions, businesses, social justice organizations, and other groups to enhance services so that they are welcoming and affirming of LGBTQ individuals and families. Willy provides technical assistance on the development of written policies, procedures, and organizational systems that advance non-discriminatory environments for LGBTQ people—essential elements for effective service provision in today’s diverse society.
