Workshop Facilitation
Willy is a skilled, experienced facilitator who specializes in interactive discussions about issues that are relevant for communities of color, LGBT populations, substance users, and organizations that want to develop and implement non-discriminatory policies and procedures.
Willy has conducted strategic planning workshops, and has facilitated numerous discussions to help staff at organizations ask questions, gather information, identify problem areas, develop non-discriminatory policies and procedures, and create strategies for implementing them.
He has organized, moderated, and spoken at a number of events, including two Multicultural Panels, which were widely popular among capacity crowds of substance abuse and other health service providers (Santa Clara County Department of Alcohol and Drug Services Learning Institute, March 2009; and the annual conference of the California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Sacramento, October 2009).
In recent years he has also organized, moderated, and spoken at several workshops on “Gender Transgressive Individuals of the Asian Diaspora,” at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Creating Change conference (Oakland, November 2005), Mills College (April 2009), and at the Butch Voices conference (Oakland, August 2009).
